Give me my roses

While I’m still alive

Tell me I’m wonderful

Whilst I still thrive

This day was never

promised me

There was never

a guarantee

As I open my eyes

And see the skies

I seize the day

And begin to improvise

Turning a new page

Of memos and plans

Savour every second spent

I don’t waver, I don’t relent

This day was never promised me

It came with no warranty

Love trough? That’s aplenty

Bank balance? Kinda empty

But this doesn’t worry me

I had no idea

I could not foresee

That life was such a potpourri

I’m ever so grateful

I’m ever so thankful

That He has extended

My Warranty
