Ray arrived at the printing press early. He was in charge of deliveries, and after running a couple of errands, returned to the office for a quick coffee and a sandwich. He kept one eye on the breaking news unfolding on the television.

Apparently, the “Heart Killer”- as the press liked to call him- had struck again that day. This killer was known for leaving his calling card, a heart-shaped piece of bread at the crime scene.

Ray finished his sandwich, all the while pushing back the pesky lettuce that kept poking out through the heart-shaped hole.
